So it has been a very long time since I posted on this particular blog. Things have changed dramatically around the clinic and I might not be quite as energetic as I once was.

My daughter Calista died last spring. She passed suddenly one fine spring morning for reasons that still escape detection despite an extensive investigation by the coroner's office.  Her cause of death will likely always remain a mystery.

Anyway, I am trying to move on with my life, pick up the pieces and make silk out of a sow's ear.

I have some requests of anyone that reads this blog.

1. Please consider contributing to her memorial scholarship fund at North Island College. Here are the contacts.

"In support of the Calista Fleming Memorial Scholarship"

I hate to ask so bluntly, but fate helps those who help themselves.

I believe that if I dedicate the rest of my life to filling the scholarship fund I can leave a lasting legacy in her name that will be a very impressive scholarship to support future aspiring professional photographers.

2. I have several "Artists Proof" etchings from Jack Cowin, the internationally known wildlife artist who became such a good friend to Calista.  The prints are worth $400 to $600 unframed and we are going to be asking $550 in the form of a contribution to her scholarship fund.  That fund is a tax registered foundation and you will receive a tax receipt for your purchase. Pretty good deal: tax deduction and valuable art from a well known Canadian artist.  I am trying to figure out how to market the prints through this site. I'm not sure how to market them. Any suggestions?
